Supplies:
  • Favorite Findings™ Buttons: #1210 (1 pkg)
  • Slimline Buttons: Funtastics #Q199, #Q215, #Q214 (1 card each)
  • Wood frame
  • Glitter: red, white, blue
  • Scrapbook paper: solid blue, red/white stripe
  • Embroidery floss: red, white, blue
  • Ribbon: 6” each ⅝”, red and white satin ribbon (or enough to go across frame)
  • Adhesive foil letters: red
  • Paper adhesive of your choice
  • White craft glue
  • White acrylic paint
  • Small flat paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Instructions:
  1. Paint outside and inside edge of frame white. Let dry.
  2. Lay paper face down on table. Lay frame on paper. Trace half the frame on blue and half on stripe.
  3. Apply a thin layer of craft glue to frame. Place paper halves to cover frame. Press out air bubbles.
  4. Measure and cut 3” pieces of both ribbons. Adhere to frame center where papers meet.
  5. Adhere adhesive letters to bottom of frame.
  6. Glitter star buttons. Brush a coat of glue on buttons. Sprinkle matching glitter over top. Shake off excess. Let dry.
  7. Tie floss in buttonholes of glittered buttons, knotting on front. Trim floss ends.
  8. Glue glittered buttons and gem buttons on frame.
  9. Using chisel edge of brush, draw tails following gem stars on bottom of frame. Sprinkle glitter over glue. Gently shake off excess.
  10. Add celebration photo!
Tips:
  • Refer to photo for placement.
  • Restyle an old, unused frame or buy a new one.
  • Use two or three colors of floss in the buttonholes for extra pizzazz.
