Supplies:
  • Coordinates by La Mode®: #3015 (4 cards)
  • Fabric to coordinate with buttons
  • Placemat
  • Scissors
  • Embroidery floss to contrast with fabric
  • Embroidery needle
  • Needle and thread
  • Yard stick or measuring tape
  • Circle template
  • Fabric glue

Instructions:
For Placemat:
  1. Trace and cut: three - 3”, two - 4” and one - 5” fabric circles. Adhere to felt for a backing.
  2. Trace and cut: one - 4” fabric circle, adhere felt for a backing. Cut “V-shaped” cuts around the outside of the circle to create spokes.
  3. Stack and glue the 5”, 4” and 3” circles. Stack one large and one small button and stitch to fabric stack.
  4. Stack and glue a 4” and 3” circle. Stitch one large button to the stack. Repeat for other small circle stack.
  5. Stitch 3 fabric stacks to the edge of the placemat.
For Napkin:
  1. Cut a 15” square piece of fabric, leaving ends frayed for the napkin.
  2. Trace and cut one - 4” fabric circle, adhere felt for a backing. Cut “V-shaped” cuts around the circle to create spokes. Stitch one large button to center of spoke circle. Glue to the corner of napkin.
  3. Trace and cut one - 2” fabric circle, adhere felt for a backing. Stack one medium and one small button and stitch to fabric. Glue fabric circle to napkin.
