Supplies:
  • Favorite Findings™ Buttons: #1440, #1443, #1123
  • Scrapbook paper: 4 Christmas prints
  • 2 pieces cardstock, any color
  • Embroidery floss: color to coordinate
  • Paper adhesive of choice
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Circle template or something circular to trace
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Tree pattern

Instructions:
Large Tree:
  1. Cut two 7” x 11” pieces of cardstock. Fold both in half lengthwise.
  2. Glue one side of each together, forming a 3-sided form.
  3. Cover each side with a 7” x 11” piece of scrapbook paper.
  4. Trace tree pattern on each leg of form. Cut out.
  5. Knot floss in buttonholes of 6 buttons. Knot on back of button.
  6. On paper scrapes, trace and cut out 12 circles a little larger than largest button. Glue to tree, 2 to a side, as shown. Trace and cut out 6 smaller circles. Glue to tree, 1 to a side as shown.
  7. Use hot glue to attach buttons to large circles.
  8. Trace and cut out two more large circles. Glue back to back at top of tree. Use hot glue to glue a button to each side.
Triangle Trees:
  1. Cut any size rec tangle of cardstock. Fold in half lengthwise.
  2. Glue one side of each together, forming a 3-sided form.
  3. Cover each side with scrapbook paper.
  4. Cut each leg of form from bottom outside corner to top inside point, forming a triangle.
  5. Add paper circles and buttons as above. Refer to photo for ideas.
Tips:
  • Make triangle trees different heights and widths.
  • Select blue/silver/white paper for a snowy look. Use silver and gold buttons.
