Button Ornaments

Supplies:
Favorite Findings™ Glitter Buttons: #1447 Red, #1446 Black (exclusively at Michael's)
2 round clear glass ornaments
18” of 1 ½” wide wired ribbon: red, black
10” of ¼” satin ribbon: red, black
E beads: 3 red, 3 black
Acrylic paint: red, black
8mm round self adhesive gems: red, black
Embroidery floss, color of your choice
Scissors
Hot glue gun and glue
Small paper cups
Rubbing alcohol
Instructions:
Remove toppers/hangers from ornaments. Clean the insides of ornaments by pouring a teaspoon of rubbing alcohol inside. Swirl and pour out. Turn upside down on cups, let dry completely.
Pour red acrylic paint inside one ornament. Swirl around until the inside is completely covered. Turn ornament upside down on paper cup, letting excess paint drain into cup. Let dry at least 24 hours. Repeat with black paint and second ornament.
Replace toppers. Stick self-adhesive gems around glass ornaments: red on black ornament, black on red ornament.
String red satin ribbon through top loop of black ornament. Tie ends, making a loop. Repeat with red ribbon on black ornament.
Tie a double loop bow with wide black ribbon, trim ribbon ends. Stack large red button and medium black button. Tie together with floss, adding 3 red E beads on top. Knot on back of buttons. Glue button stack to center of black bow. Glue to ornament top. Repeat reversing colors on black ornament.
