Supplies:
  • Favorite Findings™ Buttons: #1475 Matte Christmas (2 pkgs), #1440 Christmas Sparkle (1 pkg)
  • 7” x 10” chalkboard (unfinished)
  • Acrylic paint: green, red, white
  • Medium flat paintbrush
  • Craft wire: 24 gauge silver, 18 gauge red
  • E beads: red, white, green, gold
  • 21 - 2” head pins
  • 9mm jump rings
  • Rick rack: mini red
  • 18” - ⅜” grosgrain ribbon: red/white stripe
  • White felt or wood letters: ho ho ho
  • White craft glue
  • Drill
  • Round nose pliers
  • Masking tape
  • Palette
  • Wire cutters
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Instructions:
  1. Paint wood frame green. Place masking tape on chalkboard next to frame to protect it. Let dry. Remove tape. Paint red and white dots on frame. Let dry.
  2. Glue rick rack around outside of frame.
  3. Cut 7 pieces of silver wire 7” in length.
  4. Wrap end of wire 3 times around jaw of round nose pliers, forming a spiral. Add beads and buttons, alternating with wrapping wire spirals as shown to complete the wire. Each completed wire should look different.
  5. Make 21 bead dangles.
  6. Drill 14 holes across bottom of frame. Drill a hole on outside of frame at each top corner for hanger.
  7. Twist open a jump ring, string through hole at bottom. Add a wire or a couple head pins. Twist jump ring closed. Repeat until all 14 holes are filled.
  8. Cut 4” length of red wire. Wrap around pencil three times. Leave one ¾” wire tail. Glue tail into drilled hole at top outside of frame. Repeat on other side. Let dry.
  9. Knot ribbon to red wire circles.
  10. Glue letters to chalkboard as shown.
Tips:
  • Refer to photo for placement and assembly ideas.
  • Paint dots on frame: dip brush handle into paint on palette. Touch to the frame to print dots.
  • Make bead dangles: String 8-10 E beads on headpin. Bead pin at a 90 degree angle above beads. Trim pin to ½”. Grab end of pin with round nose pliers. Roll back toward beads forming a loop.
